V-TECH Palms-down grip - Most people find that the V-TECH grips’ larger circumference provides for much greater cane stability by putting “more hand” on the cane. The larger V-TECH grip also spreads the weight of your body across a much larger area on the grip. This reduces the amount of hand pressure needed to hold the grip – making it more comfortable. The grip frame also has two built-in springs for added comfort.
SWING FOOT - A larger base affords you greater displacement – greater displacement means less force applied to every square inch of the ground the foot occupies. All of that means there is a lesser chance of slipping and much greater stability.
The Swing Cane has an “running shoe” like tread design for all-terrain and all-weather walking.
CROSSBOW BEND – DYNAMO Canes are built with CROSSBOW, the cane shaft is offset, so that the cane shaft bisects the grip. This balances the cane while you are walking and applying pressure to the grip, which provides total stability support with every step. CROSSBOW is better!
ADJUSTABLE FROM 31 TO 36 INCHES– Women and men up to 300 pounds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who does the Swing Cane fit?
The Dynamo Swing Cane is adjustable and expands to 6 settings to fit most adult male and female users, The minimum setting gives you 31 inches height and expands to maximum 36 inches in 1 inch adjustments. This is the same as most other canes.
Is the larger V-TECH grip a good grip?
Most people find that the V-TECH grips’ larger circumference provides for greater cane stability by putting “more hand” on the cane. The V-TECH grip spreads the weight of your body across a larger area, minimizing the grip hand pressure needed to hold the grip- making it more comfortable.
Will the larger V-TECH grip fit my hand?
Yes, the V-TECH grip is designed to be held in the palm of the hand and not the fingers. Positioned between the index finger and the thumb – facing forward. This is much more natural and less stressful hand position – providing the most strength and control.
What is V-TECH grip technology?
V-TECH is a novel “palms down” way of holding a handle, placing the grip between the index finger and the thumb. This grip places more of the palm on the grip than other canes, reducing pressure on the hand/wrist. V-TECH maximizes the grip circumference to minimize the pressure on the hand.
Is the Dynamo Swing Cane easy to set up?
With only one adjustment point located at the bottom of the cane shaft, it only takes a few moments to make adjustments and fit to the desired height. Adjust it so you have comfortable position for use. Make sure the pin is pushed back into the hole before use.
How do I adjust the Dynamo Swing Cane?
Simply pull up on the black u-shaped tab out, located near the foot about 1⁄4” and adjust to the desired length. Then push the tab back in about 1⁄4” to secure it. If you need more help, jump over to our fitting guide video for an easy visual! The pin tab can also be fully removed and cleaned if needed, then just pop it back on.
How much does the Swing Cane weigh?
The lightweight Crossbow Frame, weighing in around one-pound, is made of super strong, 6061-T6 aluminum and supports up to 300lbs.
Is the Swing Cane eligible for medical insurance reimbursement?
Yes, in most cases, Dynamo Canes may be eligible with Private insurance, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements along with FSA/HSA. The reimbursement code for the Dynamo Cyclone Cane is E0105. Contact your insurance company for further details.
